I am a (Renaissance) Latinist, with a research focus on the City and Symbol of Rome. I have a special interest in Digital Humanities as a means to link ideas and resources from different disciplines that are usually separated, such as Latin literature, art history and archaeology. I have developed a virtual research environment ‘Mapping Visions of Rome’ to analyze, annotate and link Latin Poetry and art works on Rome. In addition I have set up the web portal http://www.digitalromanheritage.com to share projects and best practices about Roman Heritage. Developing a City of Rome gazetteer would considerably increase the connectivity between the numerous existing projects.
