Project Overview: This project aims to explore the relationships between Spain and Latin America through their historical, literary, and cartographic sources, using Pelagios Commons tools and resources. Using TemaTres (an open-source web tool for managing formal and linguistic representations of knowledge), Pelagios al Sur aims to identify the names assigned to places in Spanish and indigenous languages such as Guaraní and Charrúa, during the 16th and 19th centuries in the Río de la Plata territory.
